This past Friday, Redwood had it's first ever farmer's market and it was a great success! The harvest team did a wonderful job of setting up the market at the front of school, as well as harvesting all the yummy vegetables that were sold (with help from the rest of the SustAg students). The market, that took place during 6th period and after school, was visited by many parents, teachers and staff, as well as students alike. Some of the hot items that were sold were pumpkins, tomatoes, kale, and lettuce seedlings.

farmer's market map |
Alongside all the delicious produce being sold was an educational treat; Sammy Ferroggiaro and Rachael Maier had a beautiful map of Marin with pins by each farmer's market in the area. This way, people could be informed on the location of a farmer's market closest to them. All the hard work that was put into this month's farmer's market was definitely worth it! It seemed as though all costumers were very pleased with their purchases. Expect to see us out there again next month!
